We may paint the next one ourselves, just another race boat.

The Advantage which is 20' was close to 6 grand - 4 colors + pearl + SS rub rail

The Rogers was actually around 4600.00 w/ 2 colors + pearl + stringers, front bulkhead, and transom.

Had quotes on the Rogers for 6500.00 and more.

2 colors on your Spectra 18 maybe 4000.00 because of the times.

When you spray gel it has the texture of a styrofoam cup. It took 3 guys a week to sand and buff the gel. Also they tape all the strips in first, then spray the base color. Pull the taped stripes, then mask off the base color and shoot in the strips.  This way they can sand all the colors at the same time and its all flush.
If I was going to Macco I would have them shot what they know ... paint.

oh wow, i had no idea that it was such a pain in the ass to shoot, and sand and re color. this is why i ask. Thanks for the heads up Ron. I have never had to do it before. Glad i asked and just didnt go do it. Thanks a million
