How bad?
« on: July 24, 2018, 02:27:02 PM »
Just had this boat delivered from out of state and found these lines around the pickup.  Is this something that can just be sealed or is it a full cut and new glass job?

Those cracks means it’s moving around. Do you trust your life with those cracks?

Also, take a good look at that loader and make sure it’s thru-bolted with 5/16” bolts with nylocks on the back.

It's most likely that the intake just needs to be reset.  The job should not require any fiberglass work to put the intake back in the same location.

Pour enough water into the bilge to cover the intake and look under the boat to see if water is leaking through.  If water is leaking through, do not attempt to repair it with silicone.  The intake would need to be reset with epoxy.

Just be advised that IT IS on its leg if it is not done already.  Reply back with your findings.

Good luck,

Joe
