I need help badly!

Is there anyone within this forum know some one of caliber, in Illinois, that can custom paint a boat? No one I've talked to, is either willing, capable, or of quality, seems to be able to do it. This fucking state is devoid of capability in this arena.
I've got a 73 Southwind SJ18 I need a custom paint done on. It needs to be painted/airbrushed like a great white shark.
The only people who'll even look at me quoted $9,000. Are you f.....g kidding me.

New to me hull for the mill. It's got new stringers & floor, but I want to paint her. I'm ordering new tanks out of Florida for her. 4" through hull exhaust. Just got the new Autometer gauges, and building the new wiring harness this winter. I'm shooting to get her in the water this summer. Midwest has a short boating season. I just got back to work after 6 month recupe from a second rotator cuff surgery.

I would say haul it out to SoCal or AZ, but that’s a lot of extra time and money. Do your custom auto painters not really know how to go about painting a boat(flipping for the bottom/cap line)? How crazy are you wanting the graphics to look like a shark? There is/was a Midwest group over on performance boats. And a user that would always talk about Blarney island drag boat races in Illinois. He went by mcderns, I think. They had some hot boats. You might get a lead from there. Good luck.

Thanks guys, I'll follow your recommended lead mcderns. Not super duper realistic on the graphics, but also no as basic as P40 Warhawk flying tiger.
