Unless you have lots of experience in glass work
definitely look into having a shop do the stringer and glass work, preferrably one that is well versed in v-drives. Done wrong, it could result in distortion of the bottom, resulting in major handling isuues.

Check with Joe Shelfo at Precision Craft Marine in Fairfield/Cordelia
9320 W Cordelia Rd # B
Fairfield, CA  94534-1682Phone: (707) 864-0332

I'd also check with Jeff Glow at Smooth as Glass over in Riverbank.

Shelfo is a high performance shop and Smooth as Glass is top rated glass/gel/paint shop.

I kinda had that feeling! we have 2 boat yards and 1 excellent glass shop (capa-quarius) here on bethel island.  Melgozas in antioch specializes in woodies, their expensive, but would that be a better place to go?

I'm not familiar with either of those. My suggestions were based on very positive feedback from those who have used them. Both Joe Shelfo and Jeff Glow(aka Washed Ashore)post on PerformanceBoats.com which also has a very active V-drive forum. There are a lot of v-drivers in the Bay Area that post there, as well.
