forward bulkhead
« on: October 22, 2015, 12:04:54 PM »
mine is missing. looks like its been missing for a long time.

do i need to worry about that? it would be a gigantic pain in the ass to make a replacement.... but i could prob build something like a kickstand for it to a foot on the floor...

or

am i wasting energy, and just put the carpet back in and be done.

Depends on way too many factors to be able to say for sure.

The front bulkhead is there to ensure the hill retains its shape in rough water conditions.

If it "was" there and now it's not,  I would say it should be replaced.

Is there any stress cracking anywhere?

i dont see any cracking.

but i think i will makeshift something for it. it looks like it was removed for leg room.. or maybe it had the stereo stuff mounted to it, and someone stole it. but.... to make a new bulkhead in its entirity will be way over my head. im just going to reenforce it so it will not deflect in rough water... and be done.

Thats a hell of a great price. I wish i would of had that deal 2 years ago. I spent about 150 on materials and then had to do it myself.

I just realized you answered this. Dang. I should have had you do it. I made a kickstand for the deck and resin coated the wood. Then wrapped it in carpet. Itll work, but now what i wanted.
