The dreaded black goo
« on: October 24, 2013, 12:29:57 PM »
So I bought my first boat in September. A 71 Kona with a 455 and a berkeley 12jc. Took it out a few times and had a blast. I was reading about fiberglass gas tanks and ethanol on this site and decided to take the carb off while putting the boat up for the winter (I am up in Washington state). The black stuff is in the intake manifold. So I found some aluminum tanks locally that I'm going to pick up this weekend. I'll try to post the progress. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Great site by the way

The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?
