Transom trim piece to eliminate water in engine bay?

I came across this picture of this visor (what i would call it) that protects your engine bay from waves. does anyone know where to get something like this or make it?

i heard there is a guy in havasu that makes these...but i was told this last year by a guy named larry i met on the river
said the guy made 2 of them for his v-drives...dont know anymore then that but you could search around havasu for it

Give Roger Finney a call, he's got tons of old molds for windshields, splash gaurds, all kinds of stuff.

Thanks for the replies, I checked out Finney's site and he calls them "splash guards".
My only problem is that i live in MO. Mabye he can help me out anyway.

Just spoke to Finney's and they are mailing me a chart on how to measure my boat for the custom built splash guards. i will keep you posted on my progress.

I am looking into bending my own plexi glass to fit my boat. I will let you know if i have any luck. Mabye you could make your own windshield. $:-\$

There was a recent thread over on the "other" site about this. I didn't pay a lot of attn. because mine is going to be made out of stainless, or alum(heat/turbo reasons). But if I remember right to get the "curve" it was as easy as putting it in the oven on low'ish heat, and then clamping it into place. I also recall lexan being the prefered plastic.

Pretty much it. Did it back in High School by laying the Lexan on two metal tables separated about 2" with an old oven heating element running in the space between them. Worked well, the thought has crossed my mind a couple of times on this for a guard on the moo (I swamp that thing pretty regularly), but more importantly for a windsheild on the Blue one.

The splash guard I got from Bergeron was flat. Didnt need any heat to make the 2 bends. C clamps to hold it in place, drill and bolt up. Real easy

Ray they make one hell of a difference. I hated letting off the throttle, and looking back, and then gassing it, so I wouldnt have the WAVE filling my boat

Now I never have to look back, and can watch what I'm doing going forward. Comes in real handy when I'm pulling kids on the tubes, can get to them quick, and pick em up without worrying about swamping the boat, and also keeping my eyes on them and not both...(swamping and kids). I have a tendency to lose some of the big talking kids quite often

Exactly what I go through, the Saguaro has one kinda built in, The Biesemeyer does too (The swim deck), but in tuning THIS thing, which is a NIGHTMARE, I'll sometimes lift and she stalls, or something else stupid happens (Like the coil wire popping off) and she swamps anyway, lol Learned to lift only after making a sharp turn JIC.

Wonder who makes white lexan with black spots?

I will be doing some research this weekend to see what the best option will be for me. I contacted the old boat owner and he took the measurements off of the boat and had a plastic shop bend it for $120.00. Seems pretty reasonable to me.

My biggest problem is waves coming over the transom when i am sitting on the beach or slowing down. I could always anchor backwards but i don't want the jet sitting in the said either. I will follow up and let everyone know what i decide to do.

P-Jet, I actually saw your post earlier this week. You did one hell of a job on the windshield for it!!!! I think my best option would be to go ahead and invest in a box anchor and tie up to the beach facing out. I don't normally get that much water over the transom while driving but i havent mastered the art of backing the boat into the beach yet. I am just sick of the whole engine bay filling with water. If anyone has any tips on backing into a crowded beach let me know. lol It seems a lot simpler to learn from others mistakes rather than hitting a 100k boat.
