I sure many of us would line up to get one if we had deeper pockets.

That is one good looking hull.

Good luck with many future sales.

Wow!  I was wondering when we would see the first one of these.  Can't wait to see it rigged, floating, running and moving...  Think this might be a very desirable piece for a select few peeps...  Wow!

Would love to see some pictures of the bottom of the hull.  Is this a mold used in other boats too or from scratch?  I bet it would look just as purdy turned upside down on the trailer.

I'm pretty sure its the same mold used for the So Cal boats.

I talked to Jason at the races. He said a bare hull will be in the 10 grand range depending on what you want.

Thanks again for the compliments guys.  Unfortunately, the trailer in the pic is not for sale. It belongs to a friend of mine that had it under his CP and I think he still wants it back..Lol    The trailer was not completed in time for the race and we are still working on it.  Personally, i think the trailer will get just as much attention as the boat has, it will really be a piece of art.

The hulls will be in the 10-10.5k range,  but I will be building a few this year for 9-$9500.   It's impossible to post prices because of the endless option possibilites.   If anybody is seriously considering a new hull, I think you will be very happy with the quality and performance of this boat.   Thanks for lookin!!!     Jason

If the trailer you're working on looks anything like the one in the pics, it should be a perfect fit for your new hull.  I'm digging the chromed nostalgia wheels (sure there is a name for that style) with knock-offs, the frenched in marker lights in the fenders, with no supports showing...  yeah anyways... BITCHEN!!

Those are American Turbines (or a damn close copy of them) big in the 70's especially with the van crowd, I'm looking for a set for the Hallett trailer................................ ...........

I think they are 13'x8 Western wheels with knock offs, but I'm not sure.  The wheels might be different than the caps.   I think they look good but I wouldn't want to be the one to maintain them....   I should build a "General Lee" themed boat and run those things ;D ;D

Jason,
My dad and I looked at the boat while we were out on Saturday morning, we asked you a couple questions about that "water dam" you had built between the stringers. Thanks for all of the advice.

Back to the thread tho....that is a great looking boat, best of luck on the sales. I will recommend them to anybody I hear of looking for a gullwing.

Website is in the works, and the colors and gel designs are limitless.   We're working the details out right now on a capped version which would really lend itself to some cool graphics that wrap from the bottom up onto the deck.  The new owner of this one can't wait to get the roller 509 between the stringers on this one.   I'll post up some pics when they're available.  Still waiting on the trailer,  but I'll get some pics out of that too.

Thanks Reid..   No, these are not a CP, but they originated from the same mold which was the Youngblood.  These were built under the name Predator in San Diego by Neil Emig of SDPM for about 10 years and then by SOCAL Boats.  I obtained the mold from Mike D and Greg Shoemaker when we traded for the TPR mold (which I hated to get rid of).   The gullwing was just a better boat for me to build and much more river/family friendly than the full tunnel.   I've always had CP's and have wanted to build them since I was 16, so when this opp came around I couldn't say no.

The mold is in the process of getting re-tooled just to tighten things up as the mold is about 25 years old.  Once I get the new mold done, I'll put these up against any other gullwing out there as far as quality.  Including the CP.......   I've got some cool ideas for some very trick rigging to give the boats a clean look and I can't wait to get a few more out soon.  Stay in touch,  one of these could very easily be in your near future....  RD

I know this may be a few dumb questions but bare with me! Does a gullwing perform as well as a tunnel or cat hull, or better? What are the differences besides the looks. which hull would be safer at high speeds, and which hull would be better to aquire high speeds? Do they weigh the same? on a guesstamate what speed would a 1000 hp motor with a race style pump do you think in would top out at. just a ball park?

The reason Im asking is because I am planning on buying a new hull in the next 2 years. I currently have a  18 foot 77 southwind with quarter stringers and have a 1150 hp nitrous efi motor in it. Im really into boating and I dont think this hull will hold up very long. I like both hulls. Thank you.
