I need to replace the floor on my Taylor of California tunnel. I've been reading up on this and many people have stated that you nee to support the hull at the two rear corners and one up front on the keel, is this true for a tunnel or can I do it on the trailer? Or is there another way that's better? Thank You for the help!

If the floor is structural, you really need to support it to keep the integrity. Do not rely on the trailer with it sitting on the axles, you need to jack stand the trailer flat on four corners and block the boat on the trailer frame. The hull can twist and contort and do all sorts of weird chit otherwise...

I have only done one tunnel and it was no all that different from doing a vee hull, just more things to take into account.

It does not have stringers, I guess the tunnels act as the stringers with 3/4 plywood laid across from outside tunnel to outside tunnel giving a nice flat interior surface.

I would consider the floor structural, it triangulates off the tops of the tunnels. I would make sure the bulkhead is tight too... Doing one at a time.

If I block the outer perimeter of the hull do you think I will need to support the center of the hull as well?

I wouldn't think so, but it depends on how lightly laid up the hull is.

I guess it really couldn't hurt to build a small pad to help keep the hulls shape on the bottom, cheap insurance?
