Gemin Boat
« on: November 29, 2008, 12:24:40 AM »
Last fall I purchased a 1989 Gemini, 20.5. The HN indicates manufactured in Arizona. NADA only shows a four year production run for Gemini. I am trying to get any information or history I can find about it. It is a great looking boat and I am mostly just curious. This is my first jet boat.

Hey Dteem, welcome to the site, that boat sure resembles a 20.5 Carrera, I'm sure someone will know what that company was about, most likely a re-used mold from another manufacturer, nice ride.

Thanks for the replies. Someone a while back suggested it looked like a Carrera. I was looking for an avenger when I found this and fell head over heals for it. We have only had it out twice now since picking it up in September. Here ion the Oregon coast it is cold and wet and will be for a few months. I am hoping to get it out at least a couple of times this winter though, regardless. The only thing I don't like about it is the right side drive. My leg gets all crinked up cause the pedal is so close to the seat and I have not had a chance to extend it out. Not sure if that will mean longer cables or what. As you will no doubt notice I am new to the jet boat world. I have had sail boats (common, don't hold it against me!) for the last 25 years. And I aint going back!

I've relocated the throttle pedal on mine two different times with no need for a new cable.  Most times you only need to move it a couple inches to make it comfortable.
