The way the fiberglass was done and full vs. quarter stringer questions both kind of go to the same thing. That is making the hull strong and rigid at a reasonable cost. Hand laid vs. chopper gun? Either method will build a strong long lasting hull. Or not. Same with the stringers. If properly designed and more importantly, if properly maintained for decades, any of these methods are acceptable. I have two boats that are both quarter stringer designs. The Spectra 20 is laid up like a tank. Cuts through terrible chop with ease. I've seen people run twice the horsepower I do and have no problems.
Stick with a premier name and do a little homework here. IMHO the quality of the rigging, and the quality of the maintainance down through the years, is what will determine how much quality you are buying at this point. If no one has broken the hull in 40 years you probably won't either.
