need help plzzzzz

ok i want to rebuild a boat i found a 1977 tahitti that needs to b rebuilt... im a mechanic i own my on shop i have done some fiberglass repairs minor ones and can paint but how in the hell do u replace the stringers and transom?????? im sure i can cut it out but how do u glass the wood back in and make it strong?????

whats up tex....first off welcome. and in regards to your question about replacing stringers....i would suggest you use the search box in the upper right hand corner of this site and i guarantee you that you will find what you are looking for. there are quite a few people on here that have replaced there stringers and have taken alot of pics while doing it. so i guess you can say kinda like a how to.

It's a Tahiti , you don't , you go buy another one!  ( I can say that since I used to own one )

Thats where I was gonna go as well. :thumbup:........unless you're in love with the hull or the boat has some significance......a LOT of work.......Ask B-Rad and RiverRoy.........

Whats wrong with tahiti's??? I own one but as soon as i get the chance for a new hull this baby is gone!

if my stringers in my tahiti were gone i wouldnt have bought it.  WAAAAY too many hulls out there right now for cheap.

i am a mechanic, also and sorry but i have to agree with the last guy!  it would be like buying a car with the frame rusted out!!! you can always get another frame but the amount of work to put it in is... well just buy a better car.
