I would keep the turn fin in it and leave it where it is.

I dont know what to tell ya bout the setback or the flex question.

Personally if its just for cruisin around with the family, i would leave the pump where it is and not set it back, its not necessary. It would benefit if it was going to be used for a drag boat application or doing high speed passes.

Looks like a great project.  My only concern is the described flex. If you will have the family in it and no plans for racing I would grind off the surface of the glass and overlay a few layers of 6oz. mat over the affected area to stiffen it up. Adding a floor does nothing to strengthen the hull.  You don't want to drop into a hole or hit a wake wrong and blow out the bottom of the boat with your family in it.  If your concerned about working with fiberglass go to a pro and have it done right.  If you were in So CAl I'd point you to B&K Boat Repair but in DFW I have no clue.  Have fun & good luck.

Thats what I was thinkin.  I have no problem doing the work either, just lookin for some pointers.

The pictures may be deceiving, it has a flat deck and a shallow v, which should make it a super cyclone. I could be wrong, just going by what I learned in this thread over on PB

From the pics, it definitely looks liike a "bubbledeck", just like virtually every Rogers shown in the PB thread.
The term "bubbledeck" refers to the shape of the rise from the deck surface to the top of the dash, not the shape of the deck surface itself. Your "rise" is curved from side to side and top to bottom, therefore a "bubbledeck".

Alright, figured it out sort of. My hull is delaminating....sort of. Apparently just below a layer or 2 of glass, between the gunnel and stringer, there is a layer of foam. It is soaked in water, and has caused it to delaminate. Should I replace the foam and glass over or should I just reglass without the foam and add a few extra layers??
