why couldnt it?  theres 3 wires... a 12v and then 2 12v outputs that go to the relays/solenoids that run the pump.

I run a trim pump and a jack plate pump with 2 of those on my whacker..

Do it the cool way....drill your helm all the through, then machine some slots in the steering wheel adapter, run the wires into the adapter and through the helm pinion to get under the dash.  Beats the hell outta those coiled springy cords wrapped around everything.
