The link thing doesn't seem to be sinking in/getting looked at...

The terminals on these gauges are real close together and also real close to the gauges centerline where a bracket would typically go. Metal brackets would be tough to fab w/o shorting things out. I don't know where insulators can be purchased. I would break out the tin snips, drill bits, a small torch or a cigarette light with patience, and just make new brackets out of plastic. Plastic 12" X 12" ABS sheets can usually be bought at car stereo shops.

Oh yea, you may be able to heat the existing brackets to "form" them better, but not all plastics respond the same to heat sooo without having that particular plastic in my hand I don't know how it would respond...

I agree with Gaw it is a pain in the rear with angled bezels, ya have to grind a little on the inside of the dash to get them to fit right, no big deal, and as for the brackets some guages come with insulated brackets and some dont, the 2 posts are for mounting so it dont matter, ya just dont want to short the wires to the 2 posts anyway. The insulated ones with the grommets are supposed to help with the vibrations but i used nylock nuts so that isnt a prob     jus my 1/2 cent   mark  ;)

Hey, I like you nylock nut idea.  Beats the hell out of those star washers that want to turn the wire when you tighten things down.  I'll do muy mock up plywood and then I'll know just what has to be ground and bent to may them fit.

i put new Beede gauges in my Nordic last summer, and it had aluminum brackets, no insulators and had no problem with them. i mounted the with angled bezels as well. i had to cut off most of one side of the mount to accomidate for the angle. they come pre-notched for that reason

ive tried posting pics before, and i guess im retarded, i will as soon as i figure it out. if you look at the gauge mounting brackets, most of them have 2 or 3 notches. cut 1 or 2 squares of one side off with a pair of wire cutters, and it should fit flush with the back of the gauges and get plenty tight to hold them into place.

That looks nice.  Now how did you do the thumb nails?  That's what I haven't been able to figure out.  Maybe I should read the directions, if there are any posted.
