Interior Idea
« on: February 20, 2007, 10:08:22 AM »
I have been kicking around ideas on how I am going to do the interior on my Rogers and wanted to get some feedback. I found this picture of this cool seating arrangement awhile ago and I think im pretty much set on it...I really like how it looks.

Its just going to be difficult building the frame from scratch.

This would be easy to build . Just whip out your check book when you get your lumber covered cuz it's gonna hurt . :o

The only thing that crossed my mind when I saw it was are the people that are going to be sitting "sideways" going to be able to stay upright when the gas is pushed/let off?  ???   Other than that it's pretty cool.   ;D

I know just the fix for that!

Put a stripper pole in the middle......it would also serve as a "oh shit" handle for the "sideways" sitting passangers  ;D :D ;D

I have never been fond of asymmetrical seating arrangements.  I think it detracts from the clssic lines of the hull.  I also like the idea of at least one passenger facing forward for an extra set of eyes. .02   :)

The more I look at that style interior,I think it would be better for a slow boat that is just for cruising around.I think if your going to be hauling ass,It might not work so good.

we'll for obvious reasons, if i had a boat full of people, i wouldnt be hauling ass....and if theres just one passanger, he/she can sit in the back.

The person I bought my cruiser from did the interior in a simaler fashion. I didn't care for it and looked past it. I have had the one season and I can honestly say I still don't like it.
When there is just 2 people in the boat it gets very awkward trying to have fun between people. Eliminator Cruiser

3 years ago i bought a boat with that same set up. It sucked everyone was knocking heads. Sideways bench seats dont work. They need to be in the back of the boat, when they run down the side of the boat your head is like a wet noodle, it just flops around. Espeacially the person in the middle, needless to say the next day it went to the upholstery shop and was done up right. My boat has a gas pedal, I use it !
