Call me nuts but I'm thinking I'm going to glass in some 3/4" ply up under the consoles, out of the way for my sub enclosures. I hate the ghetto truck boxes stashed in the boat.

Probably not that big a deal, start out with some cardboard and keep cutting till I like my template and guess of the damned at one cubic foot then cut and shape some thick plywood and throw the mat and resin at it.  Sound good?

Is 1800 for an new wood, foam, and vinyl?  If so not a bad price.  I have been quoted 2500-3000 for the same work.
you build the wood ...and pay 4.....you seal..and pay 4...and then you go pay 1800 to get them upholstered.......

Just cause ya pay more doesn't mean you get the best.

1800 was a starting point and there's been changes and will be more changes. I'll probably be in the mid/upper 2k range with the guy.

I like the advertising in the back ground!

I just stole the banner from work. I have a 400w Metal Halide work light on the side of the garage and the banner keeps it from lighting up the two neighbors across the street.

Yeah I couldn't get away from it, it is being incorporated. Without it, it won't match the gel and would look dumb.

Gonna ditch the teak ski locker and floor ice chest and make some carpeted and glassed drop in lids.

toss some silicone on the bolts/washers before you put em in so you keep that floor waterproof now that you've drilled holes in it.

Gotcha.

I dabbed some resin around each and seated all the carriage bolts with temporary nuts. Come time to do carpet I can take them loose, pinch the carpet between aluminum and put on the stainless lock nuts without any carriage bolts spinning on me.

This is the newest, I go through a drill and impact every year. I wanted the 20v max but I have too many 18v tools and the batteries aren't interchangeable. I prob have 15 batteries from NiCad to compact lithium and by far the XRP lithium is awesome.
