Was there a piece on the top where the hull steps out?
You could make a piece out of 1/4” aluminum flat stock like a lot of guys do to make transom plates.

Also, the 5200 might be tough to get off if you need to remove the pump. Anything 100% silicone is what is recommended.

What kind of hull is this? I haven’t seen one like that before. Got anymore pictures?

Definitely use 100% silicone, as Dave suggested.  That 5200 sucks to remove, not if but WHEN you need to reseal it.

Yes there was a plate at the top step out also. The gap between the ring and trans was around 3/16". I am not sure on what type of hull it is. Some posted on one of my previous posts that it was a Sleekcraft. I've searched the number on the hull with no luck.

The gap between the ring and transom or the inner diameter of the ring and bowl of the pump is 3/16”? 3/16” Between the ring and bowl isn’t too bad. My transom adaptor is tight on the bowl at the top and has about that size gap at the bottom. Make sure you get enough silicone fully in the gap, but not crazy, oozing all over. Remember, these are pieces that you’ll want to be able to get off. You can use masking tape to give it a nice clean, even look.

I could see that being a Sleekcraft.
