While cruising up river, lost power engine shut off, lifted engine hatch and there was white smoke coming from were the bell housing meets the jet assembly.

After pulling boat out of the water it appears that the bearing that is right between the bell housing and the jet assembly is totally shot.

My question , is there an easier way of getting to that bearing with out disassembling everything or am I s.o.l and the weekend is blown.
