berkeley jc jet-o-vator vs no jet-o-vator
« on: January 25, 2015, 06:18:31 PM »
Hows it going.. I recently bought a 78 hallet bubble deck with a 390 in it.. It has a 12jc pump with a non split style bowl.a buddy gave me a jet-o-vator nozzle. But im missing the cable and lever..After looking online ive seen mixed input about the jetovator.. I know the place diverter is obviously better but my question is.whats the benifits of me adding the jetovator? Is it worth my while to buy the cable and lever and install it? Will I notice any performance difference good/bad? Sorry if this is a stupid question. This is my first jet. My last two boats had sterndrive and outboard..
Thanks

if your not going to use that jetovator I'll be glad to take it off your hands. I have been looking for old school parts for my boat. Trying to keep a lot of parts with in the era the boat was built. How much???

well if you decide to use it, i have a handle from my jet-o-vator. It still has the cable attached, but needs to be replaced

The way I understood the place diverter works is as a trim like you would have on a stern drive or an outboard. It allows you to get the nose of the boat out of the water to cut down drag. That's how it has been explained to me.
