The original Berkeley Jet0Vator and Place diverter do a similar job but differ in how the function and are controled , very difficult to "rig" a Jet0Vator with a droop altogether We've built pedal controls for trim (as overides) and they can be done and controlled to work well in conjuntion with a locking handle  I'll get some pics for comparison later Tom

I'm not sure about putting a Berkeley jet-O-Vator on a droop....The bowls are rotated on the Jet-O-Vators so getting the pivot pin at 90 degrees would be a major engineering feat..Not to mention getting the linkage to cooperate...

I run a new style Place Diverter on a Berkeley Droop Snoot, the work great, you really should not run an early Diverter though, without some modification anyways....

The idea behind the Droop is to lower the thrust line in relation to the hull (called the "X" dimension) which theoretically has a bow lifting effect. I will try to get some pictures of my setup.

oh ok so it looks like jet the jetovator place diverter with droop is out since its complicated setup. id rather have a nice droop and go fast if i had to choose one or the other.

The design of the Jet0Vator which depends on moving the steer tube in and out of the transom adaptor (lengthening/shortening) thus creating cooresponding trim of the nozzle by tillting the assembly up and down The mere design pretty much precludes use with a droop snoot ,Jet0vators trim before they steer Place diverters steer before they trim (so the cables or Hyd unit  on a Place unit  move with the trim) kind of complicated and probably easier to see when you have the two side by side , with due respect to the Old school Jetovater and folks that have them vs a modern Place Diverter,  its like a muzzle loader vs an AR 15 IMO Tom
