Oh okay...I get it now..either way the snoot in general creates better handling and the droop snoot sounds like itll give you a better holeshot..?

Not......

The idea that started the full droop was that it created hull lift without pushing the stern down. Sort of like what beerjet stated. By creating lift in a jet hull with a droop, you are utilizing a lower thrust line, this will somewhat lift the hull from near the middle, or what we call the center of gravity (COG). More often than not, really most noticeable at speeds over 75 MPH. More often than not used without a trim device (Place Diverter).

The straight snoots are more of a cheat to get around a set back pump. It basically makes the boat act longer and creates a different relationship bewteen the thrust and the angle of attack of the hull. Almost useless without a Place Diverter or similar.... (IMHO)

I have a 22' Ultra Stealth. 454 BBC w/ Dominator pump and place diverter. It's a pig in the hole and slow at wot, 45 mph. I've been told to chuck the top loader grate and the pump likely needs going through, (might some knocking at idle). I've read droop snoots are better suited for 20' or shorter hulls. Is this true? Would it be a waste on my boat? By the way, she porpuses when trying to cruise at just over planing speed.
