Just a thought. I had Jack McClure do my JE pump a few months ago, and he recommended getting a new bowl because mine was kinda worn. My works but not as good as a better one. I think he said one from a JC would work. I don't really plan on changing it right this second, but would eventually like to change the bowl and get a diverter. My question is: Can I put a JG bowl and droop snoot on? I know the droop requires extended steering adapters. JE has different steering than JG, JC, etc. Could I do it if I had a the nozzle and and steering arm from a JG? Are the cable ends different on JE? I know they come out from a different spot on the transom. Am I just spinning my wheels or should I just look for a JC bowl and get a diverter and forgetting adding a droop snoot. I think the JE intakes are smaller and have limitations, will they be able to handle a droop meaning that much more of the boat out of the water?
Its just a thought. It runs great after Jack did his magic. Probably just end up getting a PD, but I would still appreciate everyone's opinion.
