Won't a split bowl attach to a JE?

A all of the bowls are interchangeable, the only issue is the ware ring and the clearances for the impeller. You cannot just slap a bowl on it and call it good. E pumps are good pumps for what they are. I have a 77 Hallet mini day cruiser with a C pump, which is the same bowl essentially as the E bowl, there is no flange. My diverter will go high enough to free the boat up really good. There is no "knuckle" piece that can be added to the bowl to allow the use of a wedge to a C, B, E or A bowl. You will be really happy with the results of an E pump with a diverter. Just run it out of the box like morepower suggested. Once you start cutting and go to far, there is no turning back. If the modification are not done correctly you will grind to much away. When you grind to much away the oring falls out and then you will not be able to steer.

My diverter maxis out because the bucket cable mount hits the diverter cable mount plus the nozel housing is maxed out. In my 2 cents you need to use a booster or wedge to get more rooster. Unless you modify it. In my case though I'm not looking for huge rooster I just want to ride my boat as much out of the water as possible.
Tunnels and wingers feel so cool when riding right on top of the water.✌️👍
