I will have a bowl to nossel 2" spacer up for sale real soon. Bought it new from Jim B. and its at the polishers right now. Never used but wanted it to look bitchn. Its double drilled as well. I also have a mini droop that might be up for sale soon to....either of these will bring out your controls. The mini is 3 1/2 degree pin ... Heres a pic of mine with the steps off. Was doing work adding a split bowl and straight snoot.

Mines a 18 bull nose spectra...the snoot has a 4 degree pin and got it used off performance. I have 2 bowl/nossel spacers and will keep one and sell the other. The spacer might help as you would gain the 2" clearance. It goes on the end of your bowl and you would just need to get longer studs.

I drilled my transom adaptor in between the brekley letering and ran my lines through there there. It's really clean looking if my boat was not in storage I would get you some pics. Take your time and find the best routing for your boat, it will be worth it in the end!!!

Ralph, i'm thinking that making two holes and coming thru the transom adapter plate right below the f/r cable is proably best. BUT if your plate is anything like mine that part of the plate is very difficult to access from the inside, this may end up resulting in you having to remove the adapter to do the install, not fun but probably the only way to do it "right".

This is all assuming you are not in favor of making any new/additional holes in the transom itself. (wich I agree with NOT doing)

I wanted to go by the cable but the lines don't have enough slack and bound up. So i made a plate and used the original holes that the old cable came through. I will take pics later. It's not the ideal place but, I didn't have to drill any more holes

Ralph this is not good news we have the exact same boat and I am getting ready to do this same project if you have any pointers at this point let me know! I never thought this would be a problem but I may go with the elite low profile version to avoid this issue!
