Hydraulic Place Diverter Lockout
« on: August 29, 2016, 06:26:58 PM »
The hydraulic pump the previous owner gave me is not working. I've just ran out of time to work on the boat anymore before the weekend. I put a small socket and washers to hold try and hold the place diverter level. My concern is when I hit a wake will it shot water up and down at random. Any suggestions or a way to just lock/hold it in one spot for this weekend?

I would get a piece of all thread that fits into that bottom connector and somehow mount it to the top

Great idea thanks, I was thinking about all tread. But was afraid of it not being strong enough. With a heim on both ends it will be secured correctly. Now the expense decision. Repair/replace pump or change over to manual.

Is it just the motor bad or some of the solenoid too

Not sure I ran the ground to the block and plugged it in. Key switch on moved toggle both up and down place diverter didn't move. I've spent the last 3 weeks with the spare time I had getting the motor in and running. You know what that feels like. Also congrats on your run this past weekend your boat looked awesome in the video on Facebook.

Same thing happens to mine every season.  Not sure if it is the cylinder or the pump but I pull both lines off of the cylinder and pump some fluid out both directions.  Then hook up one line and pump fluid out of the cylinder and then install lines and top off woth new fluid.  Works every time so I have never dug much further into it.
