Jacuzzi YJ Help Needed
« on: June 16, 2013, 10:25:41 AM »
Hey Guys,

So I have a Jacuzzi YJ and it has some sort of Hydraulic deal on it  ??? (shown in pic) which allows me to adjust the trim up and down from a switch on the dash. I had a bucket behind the boat just under the jet and like a tard went to crank the boat all the way up at the front and crushed the bucket with the jet  :screwy:, well now I have a ton of up and down play in the jet nozzle. There seems to be a bearing in there with a white plastic housing that I can see is loose and sitting up out of the plastic housing. I'm assuming I popped the bearing loose? Could this be what is causing the play?

I have yet to remove the Hydraulic thing on the top of the jet to look, but was wondering if anyone here knows of a parts diagram that shows the Hydraulic deal and it's parts? Can anyone assist me with the correct name for this Hydraulic deal on the jet?

I looks like NAMjet changed there website, it used to have exploded views of both the YJ and WJ pumps.  Give them a call and see if they can get you the pics you are looking for.

That's actually a Jacuzzi part. Dunno about a breakdown of it, but here's a Youtube video that might help some.

Well the simple fix did not hold up on my last trip out. Seems to have gotten loose again on me and my hydrolic assist hoses blew out :o gonna take a peak at it again in the AM... Was wondering if anyone out there knows of where I may be able to purchase 2 new hydrolic assist hoses like in the photo above or a company that can make them here in SoCal?

Not sure where in SoCal your at but I have had many custom hoses made over at Hose-Man in Ontario, they will make them as you wait and price is usually good. Nice when you need a line with odd fittings that you cant get off the shelf. They have a web site and are off the 10 fry near the 15

What you have  is a "Jacuzzi Jet TRIM".  The hoses can be made by any hydraulic hose repair shop.  There is a small electric motor & pump combo mounted on your inside transom.  I refilled mine with auto transmission fluid when I replaced my hoses.  The system works pretty good on my 21' daycruiser, trimming the bow up & down.....-Rich.
