jet o vator to diverter
« on: July 15, 2014, 12:07:47 PM »
Hey guys. I have a question about switching from my jet o vator to a place diverter. I bought an older style place diverter from a member on here and wanted to know how hard it will be to turn the bowl to run the place diverter. It's a 12 Jc pump and the bowl was turned to install the jet o vator. Also how much can I get for my old jet o vator set up ? Thanks in advance

Not that big of a deal, you will have to remove the TA plate to access the bowl bolts though.  Tear down your current nozzles from the JC bowl to save some weight when removing the bowl.  Then access the bolts holding your bowl the the suction housing to remove, since you will have this a part it might be a good time to do a quick inspection on the pump internals.  To reinstall, just clock the JC bowl with the nozzle pivot pin in the vertical position(the two oil fittings on the bowl will both be facing up).  Make sure you have a good gasket between the surfaces and retorque all of the mouning bolts.  From there it should be pretty simple to mount the Place Diverter, pictures as you go please.

Basically because it's not what I want. It works good for what it is but I can't get the thing to throw a rooster more then maybe a foot high all the up. I've adjusted it and set it up correctly by rusheliminators knowledge but it's still not what I want. It serves it purpose in the fact of it being a trim system but that's all it is. Plus I found a pd for cheap and jumped on it lol

All I really need is the steering tube bearing but if I could get a good deal on the hole thing I might be interested.
