jet pump maintenance

Is there anything I should be checking or doing during the summer to make sure my jet is good?

I'm sure others may have a list pages long, but if it's not broke -don't break it.  Pump fresh oil in and you should be good.

aaaa, which jet? some brands use grease and gear oil / and some use grease only

1st. remove all rocks and pieces of rope from impeller and grate on bottom of boat
2nd. use lots of lube or gear oil....i lube the bearings everytime i go out
3dr. check all cable connections for froze up or rusted cables...i guess thats it......not much to do to a jet , just dont suck anything but water up in it...

I have a Aggressor ju-s. What kinda oil do i run and how do i change it?

Not that it's a bad idea or practice but since your pumping grease into your bearing every time out , where is it all goin.

everytime? ive never heard of that?

is there an oil drain/ fill?? I was thinking this would be donne 2 times a year max

Berkely's do . Dominator's dont . Aggressor's have a zerk fitting . Look inside the backdoor of your jet , dead center there it should be . I think .

Aggressor ju, the 12000 series. His insert drive, zerk fitting on the top of the front of the collar. That's it. Simple as that.
Good pump to about 85MPH, then you want to go to his hard intake 13000 series. Typically came in Advantage boats a few years back. Lasted pretty good, he hasn't had many warranty issues with these or any of his pumps.

The Glacier Bearings we use in these pumps are permanently lubed (PTFE coated).  I've run mine water lubed for years(no bowl plug or seal like the old Dominators).  So to answere your question I would run the most inexpencive oil you could fine, or convert it to grease lubed.
