Helping a buddy out tomorrow on installing a new pump in his boat. The suction housing is set already, any advice for sealing the pump to the suction housing ?

I used mega black lightly around inner part of suction/pump gasket on my rebuild/install. Snugged it up waited a few then tightened.
No leaks...

Buy the gasket that belongs on it there not much cp performance and many others have em in stick. I know jim Brock at cyclone speed and marine has em in stock

Yeah I'm pretty sure he's got the gasket just wasn't sure if there was any other secrets behind it.... Thanks
