Ok thanks. Yea just trying my best to bring and keep this boat as original as I can as it was when my dad bought it new. I have a newer set up in the other Challenger I have I actually like it better so if I have to change it at least it won't be a total heartbreak lol.
Original is great until it's not repairable.
At that point, you simply need to upgrade. Safer, works better and totally serviceable.
Once installed, very hard to distinguish it from OEM. Not like it was made by the boat builder, it was just what they could get at the time.
Don't get me wrong, I totally know what you mean. You want it to be like a time machine, always the same way you remembered it. I would never scrimp on controls.
