Hello i was at lake silverwood, ca this past Saturday with some family. Well they were inexperienced boaters and i had told them to hold up the rope so i would not get stuck, well of course they failed to do so. well i had a bunch of rope stuck in my impeller. I got the boat on the trailer and was able to cut most of it off although there's some i cannot rip out what are your guy's suggestions. Please i ave no idea as to get this issue fixed would prefer to do it my self!

the intake grate under the boat correct? im sorry im new to working on theese >.< im not sure about theese issues disconnect the drive shaft from the engine and turn the pump counter clockwise to loosen the rop part thats stuck?

Your in west covina,ca? thats where im located well the thing is the rope is nylon and im afraid of the nylon melting onto the shaft. I will try the lighter method today and see how it goes  Ruined my Day at the lake gosh man the lighter accessible wouldn't burn it off

your just going to have to work at it a little at a time. pull the inspection cover see if you can get some of it from there!

If you have a long enough lighter there is no need to take off the intake grate. I did this in the parking lot at Katherine's landing

Your lucky yoy were in the lake. I did this outside of Back Bay in Bulkhead,.ans the current immediately took charge. Luckily I was able to swim it over to the beach/ launch ramp just down river. I did this back in 07,.and I still have a little bit in there to this day. It doesn't effect anything being in there, its just a small amount, but funny

Pull spark plugs turn motor backwards thats how i got rope out of mine. threw inspection cover. good luck!!
