i have a rack and pinion steering and cable that is about three years old and only been in the water probably a total of 6 times if that. When i was thrashing on the boat getting it ready for parker i tried to turn the steering wheel and it was so tight it felt like the rack was gonna rip out of the dash. I installed a diverter and the steering cable end with the dual pivot. My brother and i removed the cable from the pump and transome and made it as straight as we could and still tight. any suggestions?
