New to the form but like what i have seen of it so far. I will be back to read and learn more !!

I just pick up this project boat for what I thought to be a good price ? It is as follows.
1977 Sleekcraft Sportster 18ft
it sit's on a nice traler with new tires and chrome rims in pretty good shape.
the motor came as a complete disassembled 454 chevy .030 over. Upon checking numbers turns out to be a
LS6 create motor that at one time or another was rebuilt. it has the GM alum intake, Demon 800 carb, Edelbrock water logs, front and rear plates.
It lacks seats and could use some fresh gauges. Floor is solid and the top of the boat could use some paint.
It has a fresh Berkley 12-JC-A and a new impeller.
I paid a $1000.00 for everything ! How did I do ?
