i am looking to install a pressure rgulator @ 15psi, with a bilge dump. but i dont want to spend 100 bucks on just the valve. does anyone know who makes one , that is as low as 15psi ,and that is under 50 bucks or so? and is anyone running this setup on their boat?

If you're hell bent on doing this, which there's no need to, here are your options:

Adjustable Pressure Relief Setup

Go to your local Ferguson Supply and order a Watts #5300A. 1/2" is all you need.


DO NOT USE THIS TYPE


The absolute correct way to do it is through pressure regulation rather than relief. But that's another story all unto itself.

Skip, you know I am very familiar with my local furguson, haha being a fellow plumber, but had no luck with the pressure that low. thanks for the part number. I am just paranoid, and i know it couldnt hurt. With my wife being a district manager for Farmers insurance, I know all about "cheap insurance", and thats what I figured it would be, even if it never lets any water out of it. since the interior of the Nordic has gotten put on hold untill one more season is past, I have a list of other things to do before Temple bar, getting my diverter finished, mounted, and tested, is on top of the list, but new water lines are 2nd, so I figured do it all together, thanks again guys

oh yeah, i had one of these

on my boat and took it off. i dont use a pressure valve, if you want it i give it to you for free if you are hell bent on having one.
