Where To Get Jet Boat Parts?
« on: June 21, 2013, 10:51:27 AM »
Hey everyone,

I'm totally new to this world and this environment. Just bought my first jet boat (77' Hallet Mini Cruiser) and was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of some places to get parts and what not for my boat. I know the internet is a good resource (ARS, JetboatPerformance...etc). But I was wondering if there was something in my area (lets say...25-30 mile radius) that I could go to in a pinch.

I live in the South Bay (Torrance, Redondo Beach...etc). West Marine and such are useless for anything Jet related as you all well know lol.

Thanks in advance  ;D

I also live in the South Bay and I usually just order my parts online from JBP, CP performance, or Rex Marine because there really isn't anywhere near us that I know of either.

That was my fear... haha. So thats my option if I need just something like exhaust flaps or steering nyliners? booo...

O well I will just have to live with it and stay ahead of the curve.

Thanks

rex marine is almost dead.  ive called 3 times during my build and they didnt have ANYTHING i needed.  little stuff like a control cable, etc.  rexmar posted about it on PB saying that he's barely keeping their head above water at this point and they're carrying minimal inventory.  not making any of their "rexmar billet" stuff either unless its a big order.

its unfortunate as ive purchased stuff from them before and they were helpful.

most of my stuff ive been getting for my build ive been getting from cpperformance.  they're quick, their website is great and easy to use, and they carry a LOT of stuff.  prices are decent, some of the stuff you can find cheaper on ebay though.

I can live with going to Anahiem if need be. Thanks for the info, this is good know. The internet spots are pretty damn good sources though. I just hate paying 12 dollars for shipping when all I need is 20 dollars worth of exhaust flaps  :banghead:

Never heard that one before. But I have heard of using old tire sidewall? not sure how you get a nice cut on that but I haven't gotten to that yet. I will probably just make my own out of either what you said or see how a 4.5 inch hole saw works on a old tire.

How did the PVC end caps hold up against the heat?

I'm making Patmar billet stuff....

Place diverter pump bracket

LS alternator bracket

Rail kit backing plates and a neutral bucket

And for those with outboards, rigging tube bezels

I am currently in search of a 15' cable for my reverse bucket. I'm in Riverside and work in Orange county, so whoever is around those areas that would be the best place to get cables at.

I found inland boat center in Perris off 4th street is the closest place. Just picked up 2 cables this week, they don't carry much specific for jets but they have everything else. Place is huge.
