will this diverter work
« on: August 06, 2008, 11:34:57 PM »
I found a diverter today for friend that needed one, He has a berkeley 12c i think, I know it is not a split bowl, but the diverter is off a berkeley pump with a split bowl. Will it work on his boat, It is late and JBP in the am but he might change his mind if I dont jump on this deal quick. Does any one know off hand?

I know the "C" bowl has its own diverter because it attaches at the turning pivot pin and not to the split bowl flange.

If its a good deal, pick it up and resell it to make a couple bucks.

If its a Place Diverter it should work with either pump, the outlet on the pump (steering snout) are the same on both the "C" and the "G", I took the Place D off my my "C" and put it on the Droop Snoot on the split bowl, it perfect... 8)

The Jet-O-Vater (Berkeley) is the only one I have seen that rotates the bowl to work as the pivot point. IMO they don't work nearly as well as a Place.

I have a Jet-O-Vator on my JC and the bowl is turned 90* And I second the fact that it does not work as good as the PD.
