Me too! Going to Mead the Weekend of July 24Th, stayin with Terry, if anyones interested.

But another Mead gathering sounds like a good idea too! End of Sept? Early Oct? Maybe? Then we'd have the launch of the season annually at Temple bar and the "End" of the season on the Nevada side of Mead somewhere!

Just thinking out loud, but this Blythe thing was passed on to me by several members as a good idea and why I started it, why change it up now? Get your own dates!

I'm down with it as is!

Now that Marc says that, light bulb goes off and might be late, I dunno. here's my idea.

Last couple years end of Oct has been pretty damn warm. How about a Halloween Lake Mead outing? Holloween's on a Saturday this year, We can do the whole costume thing....... Ok, Omar's right, we need separete threads! Just a thought! I'm a Mead fan too, but lets get it ALL in!

For now, gonna book my rooms for Blythe in August! (Omar, need you there too bro!)

There is nothing wrong with a mead trip at all. I am in the let's do both camp. This Blythe trip has been on the board for a while now. I would hate for someone to put a Mead thing together that same weekend and make people choose where they want to go. I will be at Blythe but, I am not that cool (and neither are you Tony) so people will probably choose Mead over me! Please don't do that to me guys.

Echobayjames was talking about Mead since before Templ Bar in March, then this BIg River thing came up. I'm thinkin of going down to Parker during the week before Blythe to hang w/ Ralph and family, maybe hioy Blythe that saturday. We're always ready to do the lake. We've got a pretty good size crew up here now, prolly 8-10 boats or better.

I will be going to Blythe for sure. Not sure what boat I will be taking though. We might have a buyer for the Schiada comming tomarrow. Thinking about putting a ski motor in the 222 boat and bringing that to Blythe!

I have only seen one all season and that was the week before Memorial day and he was just cruising by. I think he was actually a Game Warden judging by his uniform and boat. Not sure though. No real problems with cops though that I have experienced.

so whats the word is everyone still going to blythe or somewhere different? also where is the list of members going? i havent seen it in a few pages. i have never been to blythe but i have heard there is a nasty current. is blythe a good place for a kid? 8 yr old daughter. she is a competitive swimmer so i wouldnt worry about her drowning its the dumb ass people i worry about.

I think you should jump in to the sand toy arena Ray. I damn sure am. I have my eye on a couple of buggies right now. I'm actually sending Nick a link to one to see what he thinks about it. I can't wait for Glamis season. This has been a great Boat season so far too.

You would love it Ray. It's just like the River except in the desert (obviously). Still lots of horsepower in bad azz machines running around with a few beers tilted back in the evening.

Yeah RIGHT! Looked at a buggie a couple weeks ago at a place that builds them, where I was buying Blower Pistons from. Yeah, they had one in there, 5 seater, 8-71 Blown LS7 (new one, small block), tiptronic transaxle (Push button up/down), more shocks than I've seen on a vehicle in my life, yeah $160,000!

Don't think THAT is in my budget! I got enough outflow on these water crawlers.

Now an old 1600 VW engine in a tube chassis? Yeah I can do that! But apparently not the way it's done these days, lol.
