If you don't have reservations you ain't staying there. Its very small and old, but very convenient. I took MDunn's advice and stayed at Best Western in Parker. Much nicer and really only 10 minutes away from Big Rvr. Great margaritas priced right directly across the street too. Market is close, casino/theater/buffet is close too. The tiny restraunt at Big River isn't too bad either tho. Bring a good anchor as the current is fast if you use their beach. Nice little cove about a mile up if you want some privacy to tan the boobs, er, buns, er  you know work on the tan or whatever. >:D

The big river inn OK . Lets just say it all up to date n shit . I can barely get a phone call answered . The dude at the front desk says they are always booked . Last time we stayed there , the parkin lot was empty all night so I really dont know what the fuk is going on . I got a room on the bluff . Best view first thing in the morning.

Yeah I got the same treatment. No returned phone calls ( 6 calls over 8 weeks) When we went on Sun. Mon. Tues. Wed. it always seemed like the parking lot was empty. The beach was about half full, I have seen it much busier. Drove up and launched out of Cattail Cove on Wed and it was empty too. Guess they don't want the bizness. They really updated the rooms? You're "steaming" me ain't ya?

Right on-
I got 2 rooms there this weekend well see how it goes- I like that part of the river, but unless you own a home or have an RV of sorts, kind of limited on where you can stay- I was going to get a place in parker at the best western or motel 6 but I figure try someplace different- and you don't have to drive as far- any going to be out there this weekend????

Parker is 10 minutes at most if you don't miss the road next to the river, 15 if you do.

Got back Sunday night- that place is prettty bitchen in a retro 70's sort of way, my boat and my buddies challenger fit right in with the room style and theme- all and all pretty cool though, ramp next door, nice lawn in the back over looking the water, it was good,  2 thumbs up, i would go back in a heart beat-  O0  Now I need another boat, Damnit >:(
