that is what the guy at panther is telling me. he has set up a boat just like mine but it had a little less power and the guy was pushing 70s. so i am hoping for a little more top end than that guy had.

everyone better show up. if not i am going to have a lot of beer to drink with dan and jimmy. lol. but that is not a bad thing either.

we wont be able to use that speaker in the park after ten. they get a little upset when we get too loud. it is a family park for the most part. we still party just not with blazin music. but we can be as loud as we want on the river if someone has a boat that will power that thing.

Glad you are bringing that thing. Should make for a good time at least till they shut us down. I want to get the model number off of that thing. Aqua and I have been brainstorming about putting one of those in one of our boats semi-permanently with a little generator which will be dual use for that speaker and blenders or whatever else we may want to plug in. Anyway, I want to look at yours Nick so I can tell if it will work at all or if I should go a different direction. O0 O0 O0

the aqua probably is not going to make it. but i got the non aquholic (jetski) ready to roll. Plus i am bringing a crew and a few boats so i have more then enough room to ride along if need be. since my boat will not be there that gives me more room on my patio for partying. lol.. it is going to be a good time.

should be picking up my motor today. if the pump comes back next week i might just throw the stok motor in and run it for that weekend. it will break things in and i will be able to see the difference in the two motors since i will run them on the same pump

You've got a ride in any of our boats, you know that Bob!

Probably bringing Moo, since I still haven't quite figured out Pickles fuel problem. I'm down to it's either a blown power valve circuit in the carb or really leaning towards a crap fuel pump (Holley Blue electric). Got another carb being rebuilt this week and ordered a new pump. Should get to the lake next week and start swapping parts. Gotta be one of them! Grrrrrr these things are aggravating!

Several ramps in the area.  The Mayflower County park is close and pretty nice, showers right there too.  Lots of jetskis in the water tho.  I think there is somewhere right across the river in AZ that is real nice too.
I think we will be coming down for part of the weekend, just haven't decided when yet.

I should be there around 7-8 ish pm on Friday. Leaving after the kids get out of school. I think Rivertard and crew are leaving VERY early Friday morning, but don't know when they'll get there. I beleive Crewcheif, Driver and protige are arriving about the same time I am.

You're full of shit Mike! It WAS you two, and you two alone that met me in the AVI parking lot at 3AM or so when I rolled in there, still partying! Which reminds me...

Tony, do you have a Grille there or do we need to buy you one? (Theres a sale on the Easy Bake Ovens at Wal-Mart....)  ;D

Are we cooking at ALL that weekend or just drinkin?

I'm bringing my 13 and 15 year olds, I think Keith is bringing his 13 year old. Haven't heard if Jimmy's bringing his 13 year old or not, but yeah, there'll be kids there. My 13 year old will want to ride with Crewcheif, probably, and my 15 year old will ride with Rivertard mostly I think, lol. Last I heard Nick was out, so his son won't be there, and I don't think Ralph is coming with his lil girl.

On the brighter side, we have Jimmy, who is like a 6 year old, Rivertard and Hallett Dave, juries still out on their actual ages, but they'll fit right in there somewhere, and between the rest of the listed group, I think your son will be entertained enough.....Bring him!!!

My daughter normally loves hanging with the younger kids, but with Ray's kids around it's hard to tell what she'll do.

Glad you are going to make it Nick. Plenty of room in the Day Crusier section if your boat can't make it. Didn't the old man just buy a new boat though? I'm thinking you should showcase it for him if you can pull it off. LOL.

Im looking to stay at the best western in Ehrenberg, AZ. i have about 130,000 reward points saved up from work traveling to new mexico so i figured why not. I know there is one in blythe but it seems further away from the ramp. Has anyone stayed there or anyone going to stay there?

The one in Blythe is pretty nice Beav. I've stayed there once. If it were free that is probably where I would stay out of all of them in Blythe. I stay at Days Inn for dogs and price. AC at Best Western is EFFIN BALLS COLD. I loved it. It's only 7 miles from McIntyre where we always launch from.

worked on my motor all day. got it ready to top it off with the carb. but i got frustrated trying to get all the accessories working on the Qjet that i decided to pull the intake and put the demon back on tomorrow.

Tom at JBP is shipping my pump back inthe morning. got the bronze sleeve and we swapped impellors so that i could get the clearance as close to possible. i think we got it down to .01 or something close.

the alky may make it this weekend. not with the big motor but with the rebuilt one i had before. still not bad

He has worked for me for well over 15 years, and is a good man, but Dammit this is why I missed the Temple Bar trip  I sure hope he makes it OK tho

How about a sign up for food?...   Is Ray bringing the BBQ?...   Does somebody have a refrigerator available?

1. crewchief  =  chili    (I can bring something else if needed)

Tony never got back to me when I asked him if he had one! No need to bring one though, Rivertard made the suggestion if he ain't got one, he's gettin one from somewhere while we're there, as an appreciation present (That, and I'm sure we'll use and abuse his hospitality again.)   I'll bring the propane tho.

Sounds good Danny boy! Crewcheif chili won't leave all the after affects mine apparently did at Tample.....So I'm gonna opt for all the condiments, potato, nacho and Dorito chips. Probably whip up some Dead Dicks Bean Dip. Not nearly as hot as the Chili was guys!

I will be there by noon on Friday. Not sure when Aqua is going to show up but, I am assuming either Thursday night or Friday early sometime. Refrigerator space will be at a premium for sure. Hotel rooms there have the typical small units. Tony has one in his trailer but, I can't speak to how much room if any he will have available in it. BBQ on the patio is probably going to be the best option for cooking on Saturday night.

I can barely wait for Friday to get here. This is going to be a great time.

I would say so Ray. Typically we go out to eat at a local resteraunt there in town on Friday night. We are usually back at the park by around 9:30 that night. Make sure you have mine and Tony's number and just keep us posted on where you are and your arival time and we will let ya know where we are or where we will be. Can't to see ya.

PM'd my number in case you don't already have it.

PAR - LAY  anyone ?    I have an electric smoker, put in a tri-tip or two, flip em in an hour, eat em in two if anyone is interested.  Does up a nice beer can chicken too.  If there is any interest I will bring it down Friday nite around 7-8pm.  I also will have a little table top BBQ that can ride in the boat if anyone wants to cook up some dogs on the beach somewhere.
What I am looking for is someone who will have room in their site for my tent if I can't get a reservation.  It probably won't be an issue but right now they are not answering the phone.  Is there any particular area that everyone is assigned or are we going to pretty much infect the whole park?

The weather report has worsened a little for this weekend fellas. We are going to have to deal with cooler temeratures than originally reported. Not sure how we will make it though but we must find a way:

Friday HI 93 LO 64
Saturday HI 97 LO 64
Sunday HI 98 LO 66

Oh thanks to the lord that has shone his light upon us to celebrate loud and raw horsepower, burning of fossil fuels, global warming, cool water, scantily clad women and beer..... We all musta done something right recently. C'mon Friday!

I'm in.

I've been eager to get my boat back into the water after several failed attempts. Seems that when you haven't taken it out for some time things always seem to need replacing. I was really pumped up to go to the Elsinore trip in January, but unfortunately I was sidelined with leaking fuel lines. I replaced all the fuel lines ($$$) only to discover that my fuel pump also decided to take a dump.........AHHHH our type of boats that always seem to need some type of TLC. Sometimes I wish I was more mechanically inclined so that I could figure some of the stuff out much faster (frustrating). I guess the only positive side is that it's paid off and I don't have a payment for something that doesn't work. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the trip.

(Can someone add me to the list, thanks.)

I'll be leaving Friday morning just in case I run into some issues on the road. I'll also check the boards tomorrow night after work in case anyone needs anything brought out. I'd like to pitch in for the BBQ/buffet or whatever everyone is deciding to do out there for the weekend. I'm going solo and plan to either pitch a tent or just crash in the bed of my truck. Boats cleaned up and ready to go....should be since its had a lot of time to rest :-\.

Tony don't take shortcuts with this.   Take your time and make sure everything is right.   Just bring yourself down, leave the boat home it need be.  You of all people should know there will be more river trips to come.

On another note, who is gonna be passing thru Berdoo and when?  I'd like to convoy with someone as I am always paranoid about things going wrong while towing.  I can leave anytime from early Fri. to early Sat.

i am not hurring it just dont take that long to put a pump and motor in a boat. i would have had them both in yesterday but i wanted to give the silicon some time to cure before i started mounting up the motor.

more than likely i am not bringing my boat but it is possible it might go. i am not rushing i just think it might be finished. if i break in the cam in the morning all i have to do is put in the seats and the u joint and away we go.

I'm so f-n pissed . I wont be making this trip, I could cry. I have done so much work on my boat to make it but I still need one more weekend of tuning. I would just do it out there with you guys but my brother (aka efi tuner) cant make it and my girlfriend has a 102 temp rite now. I just bought a, Innovate LM-2 wide band 02 data logger today, ($570) to speed things up. Having problems logging with a laptop over 50 mph. I'm going back to the lake on sunday and hopefully get the final tune on this beast. Maybe even a few nitrous runs. I am so jealous of you guys going. have fun and be safe. Cant wait till the next meet! keep me posted as to when it will be. I'll probably go to the river next weekend and every one after that.

Damn, I wish my plans wouldnt have fallen apart on me like they did : / I wouldve loved to go but things just didnt work out. My boat SHOULD be done tomorrow so I'll probably take it out Sunday locally. My buddies and I have plans to go to Parker next Wed-Monday so hopefully those plans stick!

I hope everyone has a great time and take plenty of pictures to be posted on here later. I look forward to meeting you guys sometime during this season.

Take care,

Matt

I'm so f-n pissed . I wont be making this trip, I could cry. I have done so much work on my boat to make it but I still need one more weekend of tuning. I would just do it out there with you guys but my brother (aka efi tuner) cant make it and my girlfriend has a 102 temp rite now. I just bought a, Innovate LM-2 wide band 02 data logger today, ($570) to speed things up. Having problems logging with a laptop over 50 mph. Where you taking your boat out on Sunday? I may try to make it out that day as my motor should be back in my boat tomorrow and I want to test it out.

Going to elsonore. not sure if I'm going sat or sunday yet, have some wiring to do for my new data logger and don't know how long it will take. I'm gonna bust out on it tonight. If I finish I'll go sat if not, Sunday. Ill be going to the launch ramp on the far west corner "on the side of the lake where the houses are. seems to be less choppy and the smoother part of the lake. last weekend I saw a fellow boater sink his boat at the launch ramp when the wind kicked up a buttload, a few waves came over the back and sinky dinky. His boat sat higher than mine so i felt pretty lucky. I did take a big wave over the back and it killed my alternater but I got it fixed.  Hit me up. I would love to roll with a friend with a boat. It will be me, my brother and my chick. shoot me a tex 714-920-4370, Jimmy

Sounds good. For sure I cant go Saturday but I can probably go Sunday. Sunday is supposed to be a nice day and winds dont look like they'll be too bad. The Weather Channel says 9mph. Im hoping it'll be fairly calm but we'll see.

Sunday is better for me too. I'll just plan for that. I want to be at the launch by 9 or 10 am. If I can get  2 solid hours of tuning I'll be set FOREVER with this motor.

Just got home and mostly unpacked.   I have been going to the river since before I could walk and I have a lot of memories of things done that probably should not have been.  Yesterday certainly added a couple more to the list.

Holding true to SCJB tradition half of the peeps that signed up here either never arrived, or never rolled out of your bunks all weekend.  I have never been to McIntyre before but it is a great park and a perfect place for an early season trip.  Lots of room, nice bathroom/showers, no current on a huge beach and lots of river to run on.  I imagine it is a bit less fun in the middle of summer with more LakeLice and Wave boats but this weekend was perfect.
It was cool to meet up with Jimmy/Tony/Dan (thanks for the olive oil) but I blame them for the wicked hangover (it couldn't have been the PussyJuice).  Rivertard and HalletDave continue to never disappoint.  Omar and the Conquistidor rolled in fashionably late by about 24 hrs, but I think they were already snockered.  Skip slaved over the BBQ for about 6 hours Sat. but the results were awesome.  The rest of the spread was incredible too.  I am terrible with names so thanks to Mrs.Ralph, Mrs.Crew, Mrs.Marcsrollin, Mrs.CJ222  the food was great.

I don't think anyone had any mechanical problems with any of the squirt boats aside from a dead battery so that was cool as it leaves more time to drink.  Ray made another trip without catching fire, which is always a plus.  However I noticed that none of you bitches have a tow hook on your boats and so the mighty HO had to stay in its case all weekend.  I think Marc offered me a tow but he said I would need to be ready for 117mph so I had to decline.  I had to leave Goose Flats early as I had kids to check on but I heard rumors of some adventures that I personally don't really doubt given the potential parolees that were there, but I suspect there are some pics floating around.

I am currently a man without a camera so I claim immunity, but I am hoping somebody will post some pics later this evening.   Good times for sure.  Next month is Father's Day.  Tell the family you are giving yourself a present and going to Big River.   Tell 'em GlassCutter said so . . .  ::)

Sat. me and Ray were kinda sitting off to the side just watching the "circus".   At some point someone brought out a BIG bottle of something or other.  One of the girl's (Marcsrollin's lady I think)  immediately starts giving the sign to put it away.  She did those boys a big favor by not letting 'em start tugging on that.  A couple of the guilty were still weaving when they walked this morning even after being up for an hour or two.

Honestly I was surprised that none of the neighbors asked to have the music shut down.   I didn't go all that late, but damn modern music really sux ass.   Look out Big River Inn, you have no idea what is coming your way.

I heard Jimmy hurt his boat.   Anybody know anything about that?

Ok, showered, napped and rested. This weekend was a freakin' blast. Too many side stories to tell, let's just say that I haven't had that good a time @ the river in a long time. Got to hang with some of my best friends, got to meet some new ones. Beersmeyer (prospect!) has a bitchin' boat and is a cool mofo. Looking forward to seeing most, if not all, of you guys @ Big River next month!

Got home a couple hours ago, unpacked, and showered. What a freakin awesome weekend! This is the first gathering I have gone to and it won't be the last. It was nice meeting most of you-Skip, Ray, flytime, Nick, Glasscutter, Marcsrollin, and Omar(he really likes his beef). I want to give a huge thanks to Rivertard and his son Mike, Hallet dave, Nate, and Brad!!! My boat took a crap and you guys boated us everywhere. Nothing like a weekend of cow rescuing, heavy beer drinking, and things that make you go hmmmmmm... Thanks again. Jared

We had a great time this trip.

I don't have any incriminating photos of the above mentioned activities because some looser high jacked our bag with all the beach towels and the camera  :banghead:

Glad to hear everyone is getting home safe.

Thanks to everyone for another successful "unofficial" SCJB event

AWESOME....

I just want to thank the SCJB Family for allowing this "FAT MEXICAN" to hang out with all of you. I enjoyed meeting everyone this past weekend and hope to continue boating with all of you in the future. It might take me some time to place everyone's names and faces together so please except my apologies upfront if I screw something up.

Anyway, I was not disappointed at all with the genorosity and assistance from all those I met. To those that were able to put up with my 1001 questions, I am indebted to you and will gladly pay with adult beverages on the next trip. The chile, the pasta, the meat; ALL GREAT. Likewise, the conversations, the heckling, the circus acts, and especially the comradery made it such a memorable trip that I am ready to do it again.

Thanks again for a great time and I hope to see you at Big River for Father's Day.

WOW. What a weekend everyone. All and more (cow?) than I had hoped it would be. I feel like I didn't really get a chance to talk to alot of you on this trip. It seems like it went by too fast. I'm already looking forward to Father's Day next month.

Brad, you have started something here that is truly amazing. Great job my friend.

LOL! Break the big guy in easy there Jimmy! We only got less than a handful of bitchen Beisers left on here, don't scare him off! (The whole cow incident didn't, so WTF am I saying???)

Great meeting you too Rich, hope to see you at the Big River Fathers Day deal!

I still think the whole cow incident could have been handled so much easier if Ray had just brought Moo.   Surely the cow would have been more comfortable with Moo than Mike, Skip, or Gabe   :o
