Just got home and mostly unpacked.   I have been going to the river since before I could walk and I have a lot of memories of things done that probably should not have been.  Yesterday certainly added a couple more to the list.

Holding true to SCJB tradition half of the peeps that signed up here either never arrived, or never rolled out of your bunks all weekend.  I have never been to McIntyre before but it is a great park and a perfect place for an early season trip.  Lots of room, nice bathroom/showers, no current on a huge beach and lots of river to run on.  I imagine it is a bit less fun in the middle of summer with more LakeLice and Wave boats but this weekend was perfect.
It was cool to meet up with Jimmy/Tony/Dan (thanks for the olive oil) but I blame them for the wicked hangover (it couldn't have been the PussyJuice).  Rivertard and HalletDave continue to never disappoint.  Omar and the Conquistidor rolled in fashionably late by about 24 hrs, but I think they were already snockered.  Skip slaved over the BBQ for about 6 hours Sat. but the results were awesome.  The rest of the spread was incredible too.  I am terrible with names so thanks to Mrs.Ralph, Mrs.Crew, Mrs.Marcsrollin, Mrs.CJ222  the food was great.

I don't think anyone had any mechanical problems with any of the squirt boats aside from a dead battery so that was cool as it leaves more time to drink.  Ray made another trip without catching fire, which is always a plus.  However I noticed that none of you bitches have a tow hook on your boats and so the mighty HO had to stay in its case all weekend.  I think Marc offered me a tow but he said I would need to be ready for 117mph so I had to decline.  I had to leave Goose Flats early as I had kids to check on but I heard rumors of some adventures that I personally don't really doubt given the potential parolees that were there, but I suspect there are some pics floating around.

I am currently a man without a camera so I claim immunity, but I am hoping somebody will post some pics later this evening.   Good times for sure.  Next month is Father's Day.  Tell the family you are giving yourself a present and going to Big River.   Tell 'em GlassCutter said so . . .  ::)

Sat. me and Ray were kinda sitting off to the side just watching the "circus".   At some point someone brought out a BIG bottle of something or other.  One of the girl's (Marcsrollin's lady I think)  immediately starts giving the sign to put it away.  She did those boys a big favor by not letting 'em start tugging on that.  A couple of the guilty were still weaving when they walked this morning even after being up for an hour or two.

Honestly I was surprised that none of the neighbors asked to have the music shut down.   I didn't go all that late, but damn modern music really sux ass.   Look out Big River Inn, you have no idea what is coming your way.

I heard Jimmy hurt his boat.   Anybody know anything about that?

Ok, showered, napped and rested. This weekend was a freakin' blast. Too many side stories to tell, let's just say that I haven't had that good a time @ the river in a long time. Got to hang with some of my best friends, got to meet some new ones. Beersmeyer (prospect!) has a bitchin' boat and is a cool mofo. Looking forward to seeing most, if not all, of you guys @ Big River next month!

Got home a couple hours ago, unpacked, and showered. What a freakin awesome weekend! This is the first gathering I have gone to and it won't be the last. It was nice meeting most of you-Skip, Ray, flytime, Nick, Glasscutter, Marcsrollin, and Omar(he really likes his beef). I want to give a huge thanks to Rivertard and his son Mike, Hallet dave, Nate, and Brad!!! My boat took a crap and you guys boated us everywhere. Nothing like a weekend of cow rescuing, heavy beer drinking, and things that make you go hmmmmmm... Thanks again. Jared

We had a great time this trip.

I don't have any incriminating photos of the above mentioned activities because some looser high jacked our bag with all the beach towels and the camera  :banghead:

Glad to hear everyone is getting home safe.

Thanks to everyone for another successful "unofficial" SCJB event

AWESOME....

I just want to thank the SCJB Family for allowing this "FAT MEXICAN" to hang out with all of you. I enjoyed meeting everyone this past weekend and hope to continue boating with all of you in the future. It might take me some time to place everyone's names and faces together so please except my apologies upfront if I screw something up.

Anyway, I was not disappointed at all with the genorosity and assistance from all those I met. To those that were able to put up with my 1001 questions, I am indebted to you and will gladly pay with adult beverages on the next trip. The chile, the pasta, the meat; ALL GREAT. Likewise, the conversations, the heckling, the circus acts, and especially the comradery made it such a memorable trip that I am ready to do it again.

Thanks again for a great time and I hope to see you at Big River for Father's Day.
