Lol yes it was, and Brad DID start to up the diverter when he towed me in on saturday, lmao!.

I was following him pretty closely going under the bridge to see for sure if he was in fact touching it (I beleive he was), and got a bit of a shower that time too, lol.

Didn't know my roost was going THAT far back, didn't look too impressive from my seat. I wonder how it was when I was really on the thing?

Thanks Brad!

Hey all just got in from my 5 days at Moabi. That place sure has changed, had only 3 days of some part time decent boating. Too many dammnn wake barges and sea doos.  Went to the bar tho, the naked turtle, nice place but the service SUCKED  lot of SKIN tho that was showing  , and in the channel where you might see at max 20 boats, holy crap there mustve been 100 boats or more, just lined up side to side, hell you couldnt put a ski between them.  Sure would have liked to have seen ya all at big river, but this like I said was a res from a year ago.  All is good tho had a great trip with family and alot of long time friends. A big thanks to Dave at A@D because my ride ran awesome as usual. Turnkey every frickin time. This being the 4th season on the same motor. The only thing I have done is change the oil.   Got a 64.3 on the GPS, and that was with the heavy wind in my face, and heavy chop. My big screw up was not resetting my GPS before the trip, so when I finally went unbraindead, and reset it, it was the last day, and I know I had a few even more stronger runs. Thanks again Dave.
Wish I could have been there Mark...Glad you had a good time. :)

Hope its not too late to chime in here.  Sun. morning I am just past the Ag station heading into BR and I pass Rivertard heading home.   WTF says I.   Then 10 mins. later I pass Omar heading west.  I get to BR around 10:30 and nearly everyone is gone?   This is how you guys do a river trip that took months to plan?  From those bar pics the guy having the most fun Sat. was still there on Sun afternoon.   Brad hung tough and a few others.  Thanks for the pub Brad, as my camera is kinda fokked up right now.  We went back up to that sandbar Mon. and spent waaay too much time in the sun with the kids.  It was certainly a bitchin' day weather wise except for the wind Sunday and less wind Monday.   Even with a half empty park, the wave boats and the lake lice managed to irritate me by spending so much time right in front of camp, but then I get pissed off easier as I get older.
Monday was awesome, less wind but hotter, and much less traffic on the water.
Because the water takes so long to come up in the morning today we left BR this morning and went to Water Wheel mostly for "old time's sake" as I grew up boating that section.  I don't think I could have floated my barge before floating my truck there so we went on down to Mayflower.  Put in and went further up river than I have ever gone before.   Very shallow but that's why I love jets!   Found a beach where the kids could play out of the current and dropped anchor.  In 4 hours we saw one boat and 2 lice!   We spent an hour floating back to the ramp and then headed back home.
400 miles and I still don't know what most of you bitches look like LOL   :D

John, it was an honor to meet you! You, your wife and kids are great! yeah, the lake lice were nuts early on Sunday, and had I not had my own issues (Texting everyone back with a hangover) going on back here, I'da prolly fixed them REAL quick, I have a short temper.  (A few very close high speed passes and doughnuts with the Moo at full of roost as she can get woulda solved that methinks). Woulda at least stopped them asswipes from doing all the spinouts and doughnuts in front of us.

I've done it before, without a PD, lol. (Even roosted another asswipe off a jet ski chasing the Blue Meaney down when I had her). Roost is a good offensive weapon to have!!!!

Ray

Gotta inform everyone though, Glasscutters boat is IMMACULATE!!!!! Never seen anything that clean!! You guys that took off Saturday missed a great looking boat!

Sorry to have missed the festivities on Sunday, but without a powered boat I have no reason to be on the river  :'(

I think everything will be OK in time for my post 4th of July river trip  ;D

Lol Poor Keith, I felt so bad.

He rode upriver to the sandbar with someone and I offered him to ride back in the Moo, which promptly would not start AFTER we pushed off, lol (Bad battery we figured out about an hour later) so he's a floating away with me for about a half hour when Brad came by and, well reader's digest version, towed me in where I changed out the battery for the spare one in the truck.

Wouldn't get back in it, but did get in his own boat, then at dusk see HIS boat being towed in by Brad!

Keith, better days are coming! For what its worth, you boat sounded GREAT! Better than it did at mead and far quicker!

I guess I see what you mean about your wife breaking more expensive parts than you ever did, lol.

Ray

She's still a doll tho! She's the one that told me (At Temple Bar) to learn to roll in and out of the rollers with as flat a boat as I have imstead of trying to power through them,  and I've learned that!

Brad that pic of you driving with the dog in your lap needs to be your Xmas card this year LOL.   You two look like you are both digging life.
Ray thanks for the kind words, the boat has been well cared for long before I got her.  It does look good towing down the road behind the Dodge tho....

Great pics.  I was in the solid white tunnel thing....met up with some of you at the island and then we headed to the cove upriver a bit later on Sat.  It was nice meeting those of you that I talked to, but it was my second time in the water with the boat so I wanted to go run it around a bit.  All went well till I blew up the pump saturday on my way to the lauch ramp.

Will be back in action for the 4th at Big River.

Pics

Twisted splines, what's left of the bearing.....the rest of the balls rolled out the drain plug on the ramp.  Some impeller and suction housing carnage....that's what I get for running a chevy.  Ford's couldn't make the power to do all this  ;D

Thankfully I've got the water pisser coming out the side of the boat right next to the drivers seat, so when the fitting clogged with impeller shrapnel and it stopped pumping water...temp gauge shot up to 200+, I saw it quick and I shut it down.  Checked crank endplay and its still good.  I'd have pissed if it hurt the motor.

This is my first jet....I guess I gotta remember...don't air it out and let the motor go to 8 grand then load the pump and pull it down to 6 grand real quick.  Don't worry Ralph...it didn't eat your loader....I'll bring it next week 'for I screw that up too.

Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.  New bitchen whizbangbadass pump is going in on Saturday.  I'll be at the river on the 4th if I can find enough change in the couch to cover gas.
