they are good weapons.

I had a wood stock ranch model, but I like this one much better, it's a couple pounds lighter and 2-3 inches shorter....

I have been looking for a Remington VersaMax 12 ga in a tactical version for 2 years.  I finally scored one for a great price from Holy Moly over at that other place.   Think today looks like a fine day to go see what kind of damage a 9 shot semi-auto shotgun can dooo!

Mini 14 has been on my bucket list ever since I was a kid.  My uncle was a wheat farmer and kept one on his combine when out in the fields.  He could take down coyotes from a long way off.  Kinda the All American Gun.

I will get out to the hills sometime this week I'm sure.  Been too busy with the dirt bikes to even buy some shells.  Kids have been collecting a bunch of clay targets out on the bikes though.

Time improves everything except women.   Pump shot guns and lever action rifles are like bringing a sling shot to a Uzi show.

Yeah there are old guys that can be good with trap/skeet using a pump, but you really only get one shot.  How can you improve on a semi-auto in any likely situation?

An 870 is a lot like a jet boat huh?   The only thing they do better than a modern boat is tug on the old heartstrings.  Kinda like 2 strokes on the street.   Anybody remember the Kawasaki 750/500 two stroke triples?  Yamaha RD400's?  Rode 'em both, enjoyed the hell out of the Yamaha too.  But that Kawi had Basset exhaust and just sounded pissed off even at idle.  Cackled like a nitro dragster.    Shit I'm old, but damn my teen years were a hell of a good time to be alive.

Oh yeah gun, guns gotta talk about guns.   My current favorite is a Springfield XD.  Shoots as good as my Glock right out of the box and a more natural feel in the hand for me.  Both 9mm because I like to keep things simple.  I love 40 but I can practice more with the cheaper ammo price of 9's.   Anybody have either a gun safe or a hammerless revolver for the wife for sale?
