I used the citrus stripper too, works great, non toxic to breathe or be around for too long.  Stay away from the Jasco, too strong and too toxic.

Audio / Re: I Need a Stereo Doctor

Thats a generous offer, thank you.  I only have so many days I can be at the house in Parker and most are weekends.  I'm hoping to get it done around New Years, I'll be out there for 4-5 days.  The stereo is seriously ridiculous, no kidding - 4 amps, 1 power conditioner thing, 4 crossovers, 2 -12" subs, 10 mids, 8 tweeters, sirius xm, a 10 disc changer I dont need, Ipod hook up and cables that are thicker than my battery cables for the boat. The thing is haunted, it needs a Doctor and to be simplified.  I heard Car Toyz is the biggest establishment in Havasu for stereos too. Thanks guys.

I am in desperate need of a stereo doctor in the parker/havasu area.  My family boat (the 02 Sanger tournamant boat) has this ridiculous stereo that sometimes works.  Too many amps, too many speakers, all these crossovers etc...the guy I bought it from probably spent 10k back when it was new, I just really need someone to go through it and simplify.  Everything is there it just needs a Dr. - who does everyone trust in the Parker/Havasu area??? I dont want to tow it home.....thanks.

Drive South out of town through Parker on your way to Ehrenberg, about 10 miles down that road turn right on Agnes Wilson road, go over the River and turn left on the 95 South towards Blythe.  This route will completely eliminate the need to go through any inspections and will only add about 15 minutes onto your drive back to California and.....its way safer than towing on Rice Road.

I dont know that much about racing and even less about engine displacement but I know that Jack and his driver Tom Bandy are not liars or cheats. Jack has tons of credibility and has been tinkering with jet boats since about the time I was born.  There is a little picture way up in the corner of his shop of him racing "Ballin Jack" back in the day and it's just about the coolest thing on planet Earth to see him at it again after all these years.  Go get em' Jack!!!

In Parker the fuzz is pretty cool during the day as long as you're not obnoxious and drawing attention to yourself.    At night you will eventually be pulled over though.  They know they can make some arrests at night.  Yes....they pull everyone over at night at some point knowing they will nab a few.  It starts with a check of all the safety stuff and then they they catch a wiff of some whiskey breath....its all over then.

True....there is no speed limit on the AZ state books for the Parker Strip, day or night. However......and I am speaking from an unfortunate event that ultimatley had my night cruise ending up behind grey bars the police can pull you over for any speed they consider unsafe.  In my case it was 32 mph, I said Sir, "there is no speed limit on the Strip at night" and he said "there is a speed limit at night and I enforce it, it's 25mph".  If you drive your boat on the Strip at night you will get pulled over at some point, everyone does.  During the day you can do what you want as long as you don't act like a a jacka$$.  After dark, you will eventually get pulled over for just driving at night.  Took a few years before I drove at night again, it is a very cool experience.  Be safe, extremely sober and drive slow.

The Liberty "Ballin Jack" CJ 123 had his rooster a bit higher than all the other jets during all of the heats I saw, he was also in the lead most of the time as well.

The No Wake Zone / Re: parker tube float
« on: May 24, 2012, 04:16:02 PM »
The float starts at Patria Flats, by the Cop Shop and goes to the beach at Bluewater.  You can boat in this area but its no wake speed, be prepared to pull tubers back into the current, they beg for it.  I have a house at Marina Manor, right in the thick of it, I usually sit on my boat in the dock and just watch the spectacle.  Its a good time.....

It is Jack's Liberty back from his racing days.  Tom Bandy and Jack are close, Tom has been running a modified CP in the drags for years with Jacks help on the pump.  I guess all the old stories about his circle racing days finally made Tom want to get in the seat and give it a try.
