So I know you said you checked electrical connections but mine was doing something similar and it ended up being the wires to my key switch were loose.

He picked it up a month ago. Dropped a BBC in it and took it to elsinore today. Ran awesome. We think it could use a pump rebuild.

It actually has a single 80 gal belly tank... 3 fills so you can fill it faster. I guess it was an old parker enduro boat

We are super pumped considering he assembled it himself and its his first motor build

Well thanks for your extremely useful input captain... (pun intended)

I DD a silverado and play in the desert with a bronco. Im not extremely concerned about fuel mileag I just dont want my current 100$ in fuel  on a weekend of boating to turn into 300$

I love my boat... I took it out about 35 times last summer and ive already gone 4 times this year. I live in elsinore which makes taking it out easy. Problem is the lake is getting low and ive smacked my prop twice already.

I dont want to miss out on boating if the lake level gets any lower.

Sorry if this is the wrong spot for my question

So I currently have a eliminator 207 skier with a 350 and a alpha one... im considering selling it for a spectra 20. I love these boats but they are hard to find with an outdrive.

How bad is the fuel consumption on a mini day cruiser jet boat vs an I/O? this my only concern... I can currently do 4-5 laps on elsinore on 15ish gallons.

I had a bronco once with a stuck intake valve that would backfire through the intake...

 Are you positive you don't have a stuck exhaust valve. It would make sense as to why one cylinder would be much lower on compression than the others...

 The motor should be balanced if you are going to start playing around too much...
 Less than 8" should fly in a Spectra. Windage tray is a must....
 IMHO cut them out now. The fiberglass tanks in the Spectras are a known Achilles heel...
Hopefully I don't have to tell you that if this is a closed engine compartment that these items need to be Coast Guard Approved...

Thanks for the input... As far as cam goes I think you might have misunderstood what I purchased... The part # is 11-240-20 which requires an upgraded intake and exhaust.

Here is a chart I found on the comp cams website http://www.compcams.com/catalog/COMP2012/pdf/COMP_Catalog_2012_262.pdf

Looks like the cam should work just fine for my mild application.
