My dad has had the same vdrive for 30 plus years.. seen him do a lot of tweaking and maintenance to it throughout the years.. Needless to say it took lots of years and money to get it perfect and reliable

I just boat my first boat in August.. I was also looking at a Haskell but had a Panther pump.. I made a few calls and everyone said stay away from the panthers.. I settled on a 77 Hallett with a Berkley.  Paid $5k and still had to dump another $1k into when I started finding things wrong when it was on the water that I couldn't find wrong while it was on a trailer.. try and see if the guy will meet you and a local lake or river for a test drive =)

I just bought the boat.. Previous owner didn't mention anything about it, notice the carpet was always wet on the passenger side even when no one was wet yet. It's a 78 Hallett. Here's the only pic I have, since I had to put it on the trailer crooked to see if there was any damage

I think I have a worn spot on the bottom of my boat where water is coming in. Anyone know of somewhere around the Torrance location I can get it looked at to see how bad the damage is and what it would run to fix??

Gelcoat / Paint / Fireberglass Repair / Gas Tank Screws

Took my boat to Elsinore today for a couple hours and the back screws for the gas tanks are leaking water in. What would I use to seal them up? Is there a specific silicone I would use?
