Parker weekend of 8/2-8/3

Anyone heading out to Parker on this weekend?, wife and I will be staying at Buckskin State Park and floating & boating from Parker Dam to Roadrunner, if you see us, chase us down for a cold one!... :thumbup:.. :beer:

Wife and I are looking at the weather for this weekend out in the Parker area, and it's not looking too great, thunder storms Fri-Mon... :thumbdown:...We are now thinking of picking another weekend to go out and enjoy, without the stress of bad weather or possible road/travel conditions.

We have looked at our calendar for Aug. and it looks pretty good for us going out to Parker on the 16th-17th, hopefully the crazy weather will be gone by then. We do try and make it out there once a month from March through possibly Thanksgiving.

you should come down to long beach for the roundy round races this weekend if you're not goin to Parker..

excuse if a dumb question but we mainly hit elsinore.....  heading to parker tomorrow (keys near the bluewater) - can we tube on the water there?  are there any restrictions we should know about before showing up? (speed, direction, etc)  thanks gang!

You can tube all you want. No restrictions on towables. Must have an observer 14+ though. Ski, tube, wakeboard ect. Have have fun be safe. The traffic is the biggest issue! Don't assume overtaking boats give a crap about your person being towed.

Regular lake/ river rules apply. Stay to the right, slow around swimmers and beaches. The no wake zone near Blue Water is easy to miss depending on where the buoys are.

Follow other boats when heading up river for the first time. There are some shallow spots north of Buckskin heading to Parker dam. The big one on the AZ side is marked with a ring of buoys.

Biggest thing to me in Parker is assume everyone is a dumb ass whether they're in a boat, jet ski, or otherwise. My head is on a swivel especially on busy weekends.
