Pulled the motor. Changed the pan gasket. Threw it on the run stand to double check for leaks and threw it all back together.

Jet Pumps / American Turbine AT/S
« on: April 10, 2016, 05:42:20 PM »
Hey guys,

I'm pretty new to the jet scene and I'd like to see if I can find some maintenance info for my setup. I've done the Google thing and have poked around on AT's website. I can't find anything that deals with my particular model. The AT-309 is the most similar pump to what I am running. What I know about the pump is its a model AT/S with option A / HTR. I know the pump was recently gone through and has a bronze A cut impeller, stainless shaft and a B1 loader.

From what I've figured out, the pump runs dry with only grease around the packing bearing and the tail bearing. Is this correct?  There is no oil in it like a Berkeley pump, correct?  So it's just grease the two points and call it good?

Interested in the valve covers if Coors doesn't take them.

That was a good read Sammy.  It's definitely been a long road to get it where it is now. You do some killer paint work. Can't wait to see this thing finished.

Nice find!  Not sure what you're used to polishing with but I'm a huge fan of this stuff.  It's a chemical based product and will cut your polishing time down tremendously.

Jet Pumps / Re: Suction Housing Bolts
« on: October 15, 2015, 08:10:31 PM »

Hard to tell but is that the intake? Its,glued to the hull correct? Typically 4 bolts are used as "feet" to adjust the intake to the correct position before final installation they are bigger than the others usually they do not go through the hull to the underside  if there are nuts on all the others it's a good chance that s what they are
Awesome!  This is what I was thinking. It is glued down and to me they looked like adjustable stops. That's why I didn't want to just tighten them down. They're at all four corners and that makes perfect sense. Thanks again guys.

Jet Pumps / Suction Housing Bolts
« on: October 15, 2015, 06:46:55 PM »
Hey guys, looking for a little help and info here. This is my first jet so be gentle. Lol!  I just picked up a boat from another member and while looking everything over I noticed that the rear bolts on both sides of the suction housing, closest to the keel, look like they're backed out. Are these supposed to be snugged down?  Any other time I would typically just run them in but with this being my first jet boat I'm hesitant to do so.

This is an American Turbine pump with a ride plate and B1 loader. Thanks guys.

Cleaning up the gelcoat. It's cleaning up nicely but it's taking some time!  Any tips or pointers. Using a 6" polisher and a foam pad with some 3M Color/Gloss Restorer. Anything out there any better or quicker?

Thanks for the welcome guys. I don't have to many pics just yet. Been busy cleaning up the gel coat. Hope to have it on the water later this week for a shakedown.
