Ya i see what you are saying Ray, My carbs are tuned right and this last saturday was the first time in over a year that I've had a problem with them n all it was, was a stuck float. I took her out prob 7 times last year and no problems. Idk i guess i was juss wondering if I would have any significant difference to run a single setup. Idk i guess if a good deal comes my way Id part with it but until then it runs fine n im gona keep it that way, but always open for suggestions haha.

Okay so im not new to building motors but the fire breathing small blocks we put together in my garage to put into anything with wheels is alil different than the 468 thats in my boat. Im not going for all out speed, as much as id love to, my wallet and other projects come before the boat since it already runs n needs nothing virtually. My question is, i have an edelbrock tunnel ram with holley 600s on it and i think its just too much for my application. My motor isnt a krazy build, mild to most and my standards. So would i benifit from moving down to like a victor jr intake with say a demon 850?? Im open to suggestions, I just want a reliable setup that I use to its full ability. With my current setup the highest RPMs i see is 5700, Idk if i really wana push it too much further for reliabilities sake. Anyone else have same setup??

First boat and still have it, 73 wridet maverick 468 BBC. Wasnt even looking for a boat but came across a deal i couldnt pass up, this boat has been around my LITTLE town for 37 years, its like owning a piece of history around here hahaha

Idk what kind of mph im going but sure seems fast haha I wouldnt doubt it if the pump is just getting tired as it has seen alot of time on the water from the previous owner. It rides real smooth at first just leaving at normal throttle its alil bow high but after i get into the throttle it settles down to normal

I might be able to make this trip... Piru is where i go just for the day as it is only 45 min from my house and there pretty leanient on their rules. I dont have baffles and Ive never had a problem yet. Im anxious to see some nice boats for good ideas for a new gell coat this winter.
