Everyone loves a project to follow. My buddy and I have a nice winter project and first jet boat here in New England. 1980 Sleek Craft SST Tunnel. With a Berkeley Jet.

Gelcoat / Paint / Fireberglass Repair / What oz glass to use

So I am gonna be replacing the floor and adding stringers to hang the four point motor mount system in this sleek craft SST hull. I can't find any advice anywhere on what type of fiberglass I should use. Matt vs woven vs weight. I have done my fair share of reading on fiberglass work and get the concept but have yet to really nail down what is best for my application here. Any input on how many layers and what weight and type of glass should be used and how far the new should be over lapped on to the old would be great.

Jet Pumps / Clean out port filled?

Bought a complete boat for the motor and pump. Noticed that there wasn't any bolts holding the clean out inspection port cover on. Guy said that factory that's how they come. I don't believe that. Looking in side the suction housing it's been filled and painted very nice like a port and polish job. What's the advantage to this the pump wasn't set back on the hull so the port could of been used if wanted to. Is there a advantage to having this done?

Interior / Rear seating SST sleek craft

Has anyone gone from a forward facing rear bench in a SST sleek craft JETDRIVE hull to sideways facing ? Building a project boat this winter and only interior we got with the boat was the front seats.
